This is the site of NetComposites, a global research, consultancy and online media company. This comprehensive portal contains information for composites professionals, including a calendar, glossary, directory, guide to composites, industry news and online stores for composites information.

The useful composite calculators and converters section includes online tools which calculate and convert weights and materials such as a resin formula calculator which calculates the overall density and price of a resin system. The usual sections such as news, calendar and useful links provides further information for the composites industry. The download section contains some industry reports are available to download as pdf files. It is a well laid out site and easy to navigate site and worth a visit.

This is the site of the Composites Processing Association (CPA) web site. The site is hosted by the Materials Department at Queen Mary, University of London and has been designed to serve five principal functions:

    to give information about projects currently involving CPA members;

    to inform on the standards by which the industry regulates itself; and

The CPA web site is easy to use and worth a visit. The papers online are easy to download as pdf files, the news section and events will prove useful to anyone in the UK.

The British Plastics Federation (BPF) is the leading trade association of the UK plastics industry representing 80 per cent of industry turnover.

BPF online is the home page for the UK plastics industry – a portal for dealing with industry wide issues and hosting listings of UK plastics businesses on the web.

The introduction to plastics section provides educational and training information on plastics materials and the animations show the various processing methods. Publications, statistical information and commentary on a vast array of issues can be found in the fully searchable BPF bookshop. This is a site worth visiting for information about the plastics industry.

This is a good site for everything to do with news on composites; the calendar is very informative with events being listed up to three years in advance.
