Soya protein and genetic modification

Protein Technologies International, the world’s leading supplier of isolated soy protein, has developed a system which enables it to offer a genuine choice between GM and non-GM soy protein. PTI’s non-GM soy is grown under its Identity Preservation system in the USA which follows soy production from non-GM soybean storage and planting on the farm right through to the food manufacturer. Each element in the chain is documented with the whole system being independently audited. PTI believes that consumers should be able to identify and choose between products made with GM and non-GM soy protein. With its Identity Preservation system PTI can trace the soybean all the way from the farm to the food producer.
