New iron supplement

New iron supplement

The company SGPC has launched a new ferrous sulphate iron supplement with a reduction in the gastro-intestinal effects usually associated with iron additives. Biofer contains ferrous sulphate complexed with vitamin C to improve stability and facilitate absorption. The complex is then microencapsulated in a phospholipid liposome. The protective liposome prevents the iron coming into contact with the gastric mucosa and reduces the gastro-intestinal effects which are often associated with iron supplements.
