New healthy eating range from M&S

Marks & Spencers' has introduced a new range of products which contain less than 3 per cent fat and are calorie counted, key concerns for people following a low fat diet for hypercholesterolaemia and for slimmers. "Count on Us" is the name given to the new range and includes 125 products ranging from quick snacks and sandwiches to main meals, side dishes and desserts. Recent products launched by Marks & Spencer's Health and Wellbeing department include foods for children's everyday eating. These were introduced following increasing concerns from the government, health care professionals and consumers about the health of the nation's younger generation. They were developed with a nutrition consultant and welcomed by the British Nutrition Foundation. M&S has also introduced a range of vegetarian foods with special attention to key ingredients such as protein.
