Nestlé family monitor number 17 – young people’s attitudes towards reading

“Teenagers” and “reading” is not a combination commonly thought of in this era of computer games, mobile phones and music videos.

However, the latest Nestlé family monitor on “Young People’s Attitudes Towards Reading” does have much good news about teenagers’ views on reading, what they read and when they read it.

The findings of the research are discussed in a most interesting opening commentary by Julia Eccleshare, Chair of the Nestlé Smarties Book Prize and Editor of Children’s Books for The Guardian.
