Food safety conference proceedings from CCFRA

Proceedings from two recent CCFRA conferences have been published. Hot topics in microbiology was the third run of what has become a highly successful annual event, held to help food industry personnel identify the latest developments and issues in microbiology. The 2003 event covered developments with key food micro-organisms, predictive modelling and microbiological methods of detection.

Meanwhile, food security provided an opportunity for an industry discussion of this issue and its relevance to food businesses. It focused, in particular, on the threats posed by malicious contamination, how they should be viewed and what precautions can be taken to circumvent potential problems.

In both cases, the notes contain summaries of the presentations and copies of many of the visual aids used at the events.
