This conference was attended by about 90 parents, with an interest in their children' school lunches as well as teachers, nutritionists and caterers.
Presentations on experiences of improving school meals at certain schools were given, including sourcing local foods, getting organised with the right sort of kitchen equipment as well as some experiences from parents fighting against inferior school meals.
Break-out sessions were held to discuss school meals contracts, obtaining the right school kitchen and how to get head teachers and school governors on board.
