Article Type: Food facts June 2008 From: Nutrition & Food Science, Volume 38, Issue 6.

The International Agri-Technology Centre Ltd (IATC) in partnership with Campden and Chorleywood Food Research Association, has been awarded the contract by UK Trade and Investment to promote and support the UK's agri-food technology industry in promoting and developing its international trade potential.

In a climate where the issues of global food security are becoming widely discussed, the UK agri-food technology sector is well equipped and experienced to offer the skills and expertise in identifying and delivering potential solutions.

IATC Ltd will work with UKTI's regional and international networks to help businesses identify opportunities and enter overseas markets and also with international governments, scientific and research institutes and commercial organisations to identify links and facilitate introductions and business meetings that may lead to commercial collaboration. It will also act as the focal point for international trade enquiries and information from overseas markets seeking goods and services from the UK.

IATC Ltd also organises a programme of outward visits to target markets and inward visits to “showcase” the best of UK agri-food technology and innovation to international visitors.

IATC Ltd – has been contracted by UKTI to promote and develop international trade in the UK agri-food technology sector. It achieves this through organising a programme of national and international visits and facilitating meetings to bring potential UK and international partners together.
