The British Pie Awards 2010 take place on Wednesday 19 May and The Melton Mowbray Pork Pie Association are delighted to announce that Colman's will be sponsoring this year's event. Last year saw a convoy of pies from every corner of the country from professional bakers and butchers eager to showcase the best in the business. The final pie showdown was a closely-fought contest with Sainsbury's Melton Mowbray Pork Pie produced by Walker's Charnwood Bakery declared the first-ever British Pie Awards “Supreme Champion – Pie of Pies”, beating off more than 500 pie rivals.
