The Asian Business and Management Conference 2010 (ABMC 2010)

Osaka, Japan, October 7-9, 2010

The International Academic Forum in conjunction with its global partners is proud to announce the inaugural Asian Business and Management Conference, to be held from October 7-9, 2010, at the Hotel New Otani in Osaka, Japan.

Why should you come?

The world has been in economic and financial turmoil since late 2008, giving rise to significant pessimism together with adverse consequences for both businesses and, more broadly, national economies. Is the worst over – U, V or W curve? Too much government stimulus, or not enough? Too much financial regulation, or not enough? Is this the precursor to a change in the world economic order from West to East? What lessons have governments, regulators, and the business world learned?

Each challenge gives rise to an opportunity. Under this theme, the Conference will bring together experts and leaders from the academic and business world to answer these questions and more; to both reflect on the recent past, and look forward, to exchange ideas, and share research findings. The Conference sessions will be wide-ranging, covering both policy and research.

We invite you to join us in Osaka at ABMC in October 2010 to discuss and debate these and other related issues.

ABMC 2010 has the following special themes:

  • Financial Regulations versus Market Discipline.

  • Japan and the World Economy.

  • China and the 21st Century.

  • The Rise of India.

  • The impact of Asian Economies on Global Business.

  • The futures of the RMB and the Dollar.

  • G2, G8, or G20?

  • How strong will the Global economy be?

2nd Virtual Conference on Business and Management (VCOBAM 2010)

Online, October 26-27, 2010

The second virtual conference on Business and Management (VCOBAM-2010) is all set to broaden its scope and offerings for the global fraternity in the field of business and management. The conference invites original contributions from researchers and thought leaders in academia as well as industry.

If you are a keen observer of the changing paradigms in business and management, this conference is meant for you. The conference is being organized online and participation is free, so you will save on travel time and all expenses – while still getting an opportunity to share your work and network with others on a truly global scale.

The theme of the 2010 conference is “New Paradigms: Business and Management”. With collaborative web and social networking getting into the daily lives, the resulting impact on individuals and society is getting significantly high. While the emergence of information and communication technology resulted in a drastic change in the business processes, online communities are bound to change the way organizations collaborate with their employees and customers. The trend is already visible with tools like twitter, facebook and wiki getting into the mainstream for business. However, it is just a beginning and there is a need to explore many business dimensions such as workable business models, etiquette, policies, strategies and operating procedures. VCOBAM 2010 aims to explore such emerging trends and related opportunities as well as challenges confronting today’s organizations.
